WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest redshirt junior Cameron Glenn has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Defensive Back of the Week, it was announced today.

Glenn, a 6-1, 200-pount redshirt junior safety from Stone Mountain, Ga. (Stephenson) had five tackles and an interception in Saturday’s 46-10 victory over Utah State. Glenn intercepted USU’s Kent Myers on the first series of the game and returned it 28 yards for a touchdown. However, the return was called back due to a personal foul and Glenn was credited with a 16-yard return. Wake Forest scored on the first play following Glenn’s interception. It was the second straight game with an interception for Glenn.

The ACC Player of the Week honor is the first for Glenn. Last week, redshirt freshman Essang Bassey earned the same honor after he recorded an interception return for a touchdown at Boston College on Sept. 9.

The Deacons travel to Boone, N.C. this weekend to face Appalachian State at 3:30 pm.
