Firing up the thread for this week, where you'll find links to stories and updates as they come leading up to and after this weekend's game.
All I've got so far: The word of the week has been established as "intentional." That was clear in Zoom interviews with Taylor Morin and Chelen Garnes about an hour ago, and it was the terminology Dave Clawson made sure to use in his post-practice talk with the team.
It's not much of a secret that Saturday's game saw the Deacons have some shoddy practices leading up to it. Ryan Smenda Jr. and Malik Mustapha, at least, acknowledged that in their post-game press conferences. That much was confirmed by Taylor and Chelen earlier today. When you have shoddy practices leading into a game and still find yourself up 20-8 at halftime, that can set up potential disaster -- which we saw both play out in the third quarter, and then we saw WF rescue itself in the fourth quarter.
So the focus is "intentional." In Clawson vernacular that usually means "dial in, don't waste anybody's time, make sure what you're doing has a purpose."
