Connor Johnstone threw the first complete-game shutout by a Wake Forest pitcher since 2006 in an opening day win over Nicholls. The senior from Roswell, Georgia, only allowed one hit with six strikeouts and two walks in the nine inning effort, setting a new career high in innings pitched and strikeouts.
