There might not be that long of a wait before the next transfer addition for Wake Forest's men's basketball program after Monday's addition of Jao Ituka.
Tyree Appleby is visiting today -- he's a guard from Florida (and Cleveland State before that) with one season of eligibility left. He's around the same same height (6-1, 163) as Ituka, but slimmer, with a lot more experience -- next season will be his sixth in college. He's averaged double figures at Florida for the past two seasons and between two seasons at Cleveland State and two at UF, has scored 1,552 career points. He's more of a distributor and 3-point shooter -- he's a career 35.5% 3-point shooter and has had over 100 assists in every season but the COVID year.
Andrew Carr is visiting tomorrow -- he's a forward from Delaware with three seasons of eligibility (has played two at Delaware and the 20-21 season doesn't count). He's a 6-9, 220-pounder who averaged 10 points, 5.1 rebounds per game for Delaware. I know you'll want to draw Jake LaRavia comparisons here -- Carr doesn't seem like he's as polished of a shooter, as he made 17 of 42 3s last season (and 8 of 28 in 15 games as a freshman).
With the three scholarship guys (LaRavia, Mucius, Williamson) in limbo, it's a little hard to gauge scholarships available for the Deacons. If, say, two of them return, Wake Forest has four scholarships to use.
