CLEMSON, S.C. -- No. 17 Wake Forest won the nightcap, earning a doubleheader split against No. 3 Clemson at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Saturday.
The Demon Deacons (29-13, 13-8 ACC) trailed heading into the seventh inning, but Gavin Sheets hit what proved to be a game-winning grand slam to lead Wake Forest to a win in the series finale over the Tigers (33-8, 16-5 ACC).
The Deacs travel to Davidson and UNCG for a pair of midweek games on Tuesday and Wednesday before heading into a break for final exams.

Wake Forest battled back from a 2-0 deficit, pulling away in the late innings for the win.
Logan Davidson hit a two-run homer in the fifth to put Clemson up, 2-0.
The Deacs cut the deficit in half in the sixth on a Ben Breazeale RBI single.
Then, Wake Forest's bats came to life for six runs in the seventh. Logan Harvey singled, Jake Mueller reached on an error on a sac bunt, and Patrick Frick walked to load the bases.
Stuart Fairchild knotted the score at 2-2 with a line-drive single up the middle.
After a pitching change, Gavin Sheets blasted his first-career home run, his 15th of the season, to put Wake Forest in front for the first time, 6-2.
Johnny Aiello singled and Keegan Maronpot doubled to the wall in right-center to bring home another run, 7-2.
Connor Johnstone (6-0) won the battle of unbeatens over Pat Krall (6-1). Johnstone allowed two runs over 6.0 innings, while Krall allowed three runs in 6.1 frames.
After Chase Pinder hit a leadoff homer in the seventh and the next two batters reached base, Morgan McSweeney entered on the mound. He forced a flyout, and after a 2-3 pickoff, recorded another flyout to end the inning.
Sheets added a bases-loaded walk in the eighth for an insurance run to make it 8-3.
In the bottom of the inning, the Tigers put two runners aboard in between a pair of McSweeney strikeouts. Chris Farish entered and retired the only batter he faced. Then in the ninth, Colin Peluse retired three of the four batters he faced to end the game.
Sheets finished the game with five RBIs and two walks. Aiello had his second three-hit game of the weekend, while Mueller and Fairchild had two hits apiece.

Wake Forest was shut out for the first time all season behind a complete-game, 116-pitch shutout by Alex Eubanks. He struck out 12 and didn't allow a walk, surrendering seven hits.
