Deacs with a nice road win yesterday against Richmond.
The good:
I thought it was a good team effort, rebounded better and played much better defense.
Arians had a great game. He was one of the few guys that could knock down a shot from the outside and I thought he actually played the best defense on Cline.
Crawford rebounded nicely from his complete and utter disaster at Northwestern, almost finished with a triple double and only had one turnover.
John Collins got 16 points and 13 rebounds in just 19 minutes...
The bad:
Collins continues to get himself in foul trouble. You can argue about Manning's decision to sit him for so long, but this team really needs JC to learn how to play without committing silly fouls. It worked out alright yesterday (I think Wake was +9 in the second half when Collins went out with his third foul), but we won't be so lucky during our brutal ACC schedule if he continues to do that.
Wake had 15 turnovers as a team which is still too many. Five of them were committed by Dinos, who seemingly loses it every time he tries to dribble or holds the ball down low. He needs to do a better job taking care of the ball.
The ugly:
Wake went 4-24 (16%) from three point range yesterday. That's a few games in a row now that we have been horrible from behind the arc. I think Crawford needs to just stop shooting threes altogether. And if Wilbekin isn't hitting them, not sure he should get as many minutes as he's been getting.
