GREENSBORO, N.C. – Wake Forest junior pitcher Griffin Roberts was named Second Team All-ACC, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
The teams were selected in voting among the league's head coaches, and Roberts earns the honor as a starting pitcher after also being named to the second team as a reliever in 2017.
Roberts wrapped up the regular season with a 5-4 record and 3.93 ERA to go along with an ACC-best 124 strikeouts, the second-most in a season in program history.
The Midlothian, Virginia native is a three-time ACC Pitcher of the Week and also earned National Pitcher of the Week honors on March 19. He was a member of the Golden Spikes Award midseason watch list and the College Baseball Foundation Pitcher of the Year watch list.
In his career, Roberts has struck out more than 12 batters per nine innings, the best mark in program history.
