GREENSBORO, N.C. – Wake Forest junior Gavin Sheets was named the ACC Player of the Week on Monday afternoon, the league announced.

In the series win over Boston College over the weekend, Sheets hit .364. He posted a two-homer, six-RBI effort in Friday's win, recording his third multi-homer game of the year.

He earns the honor for the second time this season. Sheets was previously named ACC and National Player of the Week on Feb. 27 after a three-homer, nine-RBI effort vs. Southern Cal.

This year, Sheets leads the nation with 69 RBIs and ranks atop the ACC with 17 home runs.

With Sheets' selection, Wake Forest has now been recognized in the weekly honors six times - twice for Connor Johnstone and once for Stuart Fairchild and Parker Dunshee in addition to twice for Sheets.

The Deacs are back in action on Tuesday, playing host to High Point. The game was moved to 1 p.m. to avoid the inclement weather expected in the evening.
