• The Demon Deacons are 16-4 when scoring at least six runs this season, and 14-4 when playing at David F. Couch Ballpark.

• Gavin Sheets has posted three straight multi-hit games to bring his average over .300. He ranks second on the team in hits (40), homers (five) and RBIs (26), and hit third in the batting order for the first two times of his career against UNCG this week.
The Opposition & Series History
• Florida State leads the all-time series against Wake Forest, 87-23.
• Wake Forest is searching for its first series victory against the Seminoles since taking two out of three at home in 2002. The teams did split a pair of games in 2006.
• Last year, the Deacons handed the 18th-ranked Seminoles their first home loss, snapping their 14-0 home start and 11-game winning streak overall with a 4-1 Friday victory. Matt Pirro and Parker Dunshee combined to strike out 11 in a four-hit effort. The Seminoles claimed the last two games of the series by scores of 12-2 and 9-6.
• Florida State has won all five of its ACC series, though the weekends against both NC State and Boston College were shortened to a game apiece due to inclement weather. Most recently, the Seminoles took two out of three from top-10 foe Louisville.
• The Seminoles average 8.2 runs per game, second-most in the league. John Sansone leads the team with a .387 average and 42 RBIs, while Cal Raleigh has a team-high six homers.
On Deck
• The Demon Deacons travel to Appalachian State for a 6 p.m. game on Tuesday before returning home next weekend for another ACC series against a top-15 foe in North Carolina.
