WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest has announced the addition of future football games with non-conference opponents Notre Dame and Liberty University.
The Atlantic Coast Conference recently announced the full schedule of ACC teams to face the Fighting Irish. Wake Forest will host Notre Dame in 2027 and 2037 while vising South Bend in 2029 and 2032. The Demon Deacons already have games on the schedule in South Bend on Nov. 4, 2017 and 2023 and at BB&T Field on Sept. 22, 2018. In 2020, the Deacons will host Notre Dame in Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium.
Wake Forest and Liberty will play a three-game series with the Flames visiting BB&T Field on Sept. 17, 2022 and Sept. 3, 4, or 5, 2026. Wake Forest will play at Liberty on Aug. 30, 2025.
Liberty, which has been a member of the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) will begin its transition to Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) status this fall. The Flames are expected to be a full member of the FBS by the time they play the Demon Deacons in the first game of the series in 2022.
