WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – On Saturday, November 17 at 6 am, the NCDOT is closing Business 40 between Peters Creek Parkway and U.S. 52 as part of the Business 40 improvement project. Wake Forest football fans will need to check their maps and usual routes to BB&T Field for Saturday’s 12 noon kickoff with Pittsburgh. .

Following the 6 am closure, the last westbound exit will be at US 52 and the last eastbound exit will be at Peters Creek Parkway.

Football fans are advised to seek alternate routes to BB&T Field and also leave extra time to navigate through the detour. The City of Winston-Salem has partnered with road travel app Waze and fans are encouraged to download the Waze app. Waze will give turn by turn directions on getting to the stadium and avoiding the closed roadway.

Fans coming to BB&T Field from the East are advised to exit Business 40 on U.S. 52 and then exit at Akron Drive. Turn left onto Akron Drive then left onto Reynolds Boulevard before turning left onto Shorefair Drive and proceeding to BB&T Field.

Fans headed to BB&T Field from the West are encouraged to take Silas Creek Parkway (N.C. 67 West) and exit onto Reynolda Rd. Turn right on Reynolda then left onto Coliseum Drive. An alternate eastbound route would be to continue on Silas Creek Parkway past Reynolda to Northpoint Boulevard before turning right onto University Parkway.
