WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest baseball student-athletes Chris Farish, Keegan Maronpot and Bruce Steel have been suspended indefinitely from the baseball team for a violation of Athletics Department rules.
Farish was 0-0 with a 5.89 ERA and struck out 32 batters in 18.1 innings in 2017.
Maronpot made 60 starts last year, hitting .214 with 12 homers and 41 RBIs.
Steel in 2017 batted .264 with 13 home runs and 38 RBIs in 52 starts.
Wake Forest opens its season on Friday, Feb. 16 at home against Georgetown at David F. Couch Ballpark.
