Didn't see this change coming. This from Wake media relations:
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Warren Belin, Wake Forest’s linebacker coach for the past three seasons, is taking a new position on the Demon Deacon staff. Belin will become Wake Forest’s Director of High School Relations and Director of Recruiting. In his new role, Belin will work with prospective student-athletes and assist them in their transition from high school to college football.
Belin joined the Wake Forest staff in 2013 after two seasons with the Carolina Panthers where he mentored Luke Kuechly who was the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2012. Belin spent the 2010 season at Georgia and was at Vanderbilt from 2002 through 2009.
A 1990 graduate of Wake Forest, Belin was a four-year letterwinner for the Demon Deacons from 1987-90 and recorded 236 career tackles in 30 starts.
“Warren’s experience as a student-athlete at Wake Forest and being a native of North Carolina will make him a good fit for this position,” said head coach Dave Clawson.
