WFWB: Perkins Joins Wake Forest as Director of Basketball Operations

Jasmine Perkins comes to the Demon Deacons after spending the last two seasons working as a graduate assistant at Georgetown in various roles.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest women's basketball and head coach Jen Hoover announced the hiring of Jasmine Perkins as the Director of Basketball Operations on Tuesday.

In this role, she will oversee all day-to-day operations of the Demon Deacons women's basketball program as well as coordinating all team travel.

"We are blessed to have someone like Jasmine join our Wake Forest family," head coach Jen Hoover said. "During her time as both a student-athlete and as a graduate assistant, she has demonstrated a unique ability to go above and beyond, helping them grow academically and culturally. Her character and commitment to others will be an asset for our staff as we continue to help our young women grow both on and off the court."

Perkins joined the Demon Deacons after spending the last two seasons as a graduate assistant at Georgetown University, serving in various roles including strategic cultural development and academics. Additionally during her time in the Nation's Capital, she worked as an operations intern for the Washington Football Team, serving in various gameday roles including improving operational efficiency and guest experience

Prior to moving to Washington D.C., Perkins was a standout midfielder on the Bulldogs' lacrosse team. As a senior, she recorded a team-leading 19 caused turnovers and was tied for fourth on the team with 21 ground balls.

Off the field, Perkins founded and is currently the president of Words of Knowledge Empower (WOKE) Athletes creating a network of student-athletes dedicated to the enhancement of diversity and inclusion within Bryant Athletics.

Perkins received her bachelor's degree in communications from Bryant in 2019 and is currently pursuing her master's degree in sports industry management with an expected graduation in 2021 from Georgetown.
