Here's some additional unused quotes from ACC Operation Basketball that just didn't fit in to the story on the juniors that will be posted shortly.

Codi Miller-McIntyre: "Almost every loss. I'm extremely hard on myself and my coaches know that. If I play bad, I hear it from my dad, sometimes I hear from my little sister and then after that I hear about it from three other coaches. But before all of that happens, I hear about it from myself. Like I said, I'm extremely hard on myself. That's probably my biggest downfall and my best quality."

I asked him, "Ever take credit for the good stuff?"

Miller-McIntyre: "No. Never."

I asked Coach Manning if he noticed Codi being hard on himself.

Manning: "There are times. You're going to make mistakes playing this game. It happens. Our mindset is, we think next play. If you make a mistake and you're trying hard or you just go brain dead for a second and you throw the ball away. To me, it's not that play, but what you do after that. Next play, for me. Do you drop you head and have bad body language, or do you try to pick somebody up and have encouraging words? That's the most important thing to me, because you're going to make mistakes. I can handle one mistake, but we don't want to see two mistakes. A lot of times, kids get discouraged and show it with their body language and I don't like that."
