WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest head coach Danny Manning announced Friday (Feb. 2) that sophomore center Sam Japhet-Mathias has been permanently dismissed from the men’s basketball team for not meeting program expectations.
A 6-11 native of London, England, Japhet-Mathias appeared in six games in 2017-18, averaging 1.0 points and 1.3 rebounds. He scored a season-high four points at Duke on Jan. 13.
The Demon Deacons return to action Saturday, hosting No. 20 Clemson at 2 p.m.
