Third-year forward Tariq Ingraham has left the men's basketball team with the intention of transferring, the program announced this afternoon.
He played in three games in three seasons -- he tore his Achilles and missed all of his freshman season, played two games last year before catching COVID-19 and had that end his season, and then played in Wednesday night's opener (4 minutes, 0 stats).
My two cents: The only surprising part of this is the timing. It was clear from watching the practices I saw that Ingraham wasn't that much of a fit for what Forbes wants to do. By transferring now instead of after the season, I'm not sure he really gains anything other than not practicing and being available to play.
This only hamstrings Wake Forest a little bit, and I don't think it'll have much of an impact once Matthew Marsh returns from his concussion.
