Just got this surprise from Wake Media Relations:
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest head football coach Dave Clawson today announced that Zeek Rodney will take a leave of absence from the University this coming year and will return to the football team in 2017.
“Zeek has some personal issues that he is currently addressing,” said Clawson. “We will support Zeek in any way possible and we look forward to his return to our program.”
Rodney, a 6-1, 295-pound junior defensive tackle from Rock Hill, SC (South Pointe), started all 12 games in 2015 and recorded 22 tackles and two tackles for loss.
