Serigne named John Mackey Tight End of the Week

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest senior tight end Cam Serigne has been named the John Mackey Tight End of the Week by the John Mackey Award.


Serigne had two catches for 52 yards including a 45-yard touchdown reception, the longest reception of his career. Wake Forest defeated Utah State 46-10 at BB&T Field on Sept. 16.


Serigne has 134 career receptions for 1,605 yards and 15 touchdowns during his career. He is Wake Forest’s all-time leader in touchdown catches among tight ends and ranks second in career receptions. Serigne needs just 48 yards to become Wake Forest’s career leader in receiving yards among tight ends.


The 2017 John Mackey Award recipient will be announced on Dec. 6, 2017 and then presented live on Dec. 7 at The Home Depot College Football Awards Red Carpet Show on ESPNU.
