ATLANTA – The latest edition of FOX Sports South’s Emmy Award-Winning Series “DRIVEN” will feature Danny Manning and the Wake Forest basketball program. The show, titled “DRIVEN – Danny Manning: Demon Deacon Revival” will debut on Thursday, December 3 at 10:30 p.m. ET on the network and will re-air throughout the month.
The half-hour episode highlights Manning’s playing and coaching career and his ambition to lead the Demon Deacon program to success. It includes behind-the-scenes footage of Wake Forest basketball and commentary from numerous people both inside and outside the Demon Deacon program. In addition to Manning, Director of Athletics Ron Wellman and current Wake Forest players and coaches, the show also features dialogue from Manning’s collegiate coach, Hall of Famer Larry Brown, Kansas head coach Bill Self, who gave Manning his start in coaching, and coaching peers in the ACC such as Mike Krzyzewski and Roy Williams.
The show details Manning’s childhood in Greensboro, his playing career at Kansas where he led the Jayhawks to the 1988 NCAA Championship, his 15-year NBA career and his coaching career, from an assistant to Self at Kansas, to winning a Conference USA title at Tulsa, to taking over the Demon Deacon program.
