Wake Forest junior All-American one of eight players named to the squad
FAR HILLS, N.J. – The United States Golf Association announced Tuesday (April 17) that Wake Forest junior Jennifer Kupcho was one of eight players named to the United States team for this summer’s Curtis Cup.
The Curtis Cup is a biannual team competition between the top women’s amateur players from the United States and the top women’s amateur players from Great Britain & Ireland. The 2018 event will be contested June 8-10, 2018, at Quaker Ridge Golf Club in Scarsdale, N.Y.
Wake Forest has had four players compete in previous Curtis Cups. Karen Noble (1990), Brenda Corrie (1996 and 1998) and Sierra Brooks (2016) have represented the United States, while Helen Wadsworth (1990) represented Great Britain & Ireland.
Kupcho is ranked No. 3 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings. She has won five collegiate events over the last two seasons and was the runner-up at the 2017 NCAA Championship. Kupcho will also compete this summer for the United States at the Palmer Cup, where she will be teammates with fellow Demon Deacon Emilia Migliaccio.
